Philadelphia Coffee Works announces the launch of Academia del caffe
with six new center city locations - March 2007
Academia del Caffé Designed As Ultimate Authentic Italian Café Experience.
(PHILADELPHIA) - Philadelphia Coffee Works announces the opening of Academia del Caffé, a new Italian café experience with six convenient Center City locations.
Three new small locations opened in February and March 2007 at 620 Chestnut Street, 1039 Chestnut Street and at 2400 Market Street (Design Center).
One additional smaller location is scheduled to open in September 2007 at 1618 Walnut Street.
The 1800-square foot location at Penn Square, 1 South Penn Square, will open in May 2007 and the 3000-square foot location will open at the Curtis Center on Washington Square by the end of 2007.

Anecdote:
David Letterman, who - like many comedians - often found the task of producing a constant stream of humor rather exhausting, occasionally sought enlightenment in unlikely places. Asked by a clerk in a pastry shop what he wanted in his coffee one day, Letterman indicated a balloon-filling machine behind the counter and replied: "Helium!"
